Abstract

The Indian foreign policy plans to broaden its sphere of influence and to strengthen its role throughout the nations. The year 2021 offers a number of challenges and opportunities to achieve foreign policy goals. China's rise and its influence in the neighbourhood of India, for example, is a cause for concern for India. In addition, the conclusion of the negotiations on the Comprehensive Investment Accord between the EU and China undermines the myth of Chinese isolation following the Covid 19 pandemic and further strengthened China's position. In addition, India's foreign policy decisions such as the increased US convergence have led to its links with traditional fries being weakened.
