ANALYSIS OF I T ADOPTION IN INDIAN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS: A CASE STUDY OF UTTAR PRADESH
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to understand the effect of information technology adoption on teaching and learning process, learners’ engagement, parents and teachers’ perception towards technology inclusion, virtual classrooms and online teaching and learning, especially, during crises like Lockdown due to nCOVID-19 in India. Qualitative data were collected from the learners, parents and teachers associated with different educational institutions in Uttar Pradesh. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has presence in all sectors and so as in Education too. Teachers, Learners, Administrators, thinkers, policy makers and Researchers are thriving for innovative teaching pedagogy to make the learning experiences effective. This investigation is intended to study the change in the education sector by adopting technology and engaging Learners with virtual sessions. The perceptions of different stakeholders and teachers towards the usage of technology are different but the most of the persons are in favour of technology adoption not only during unavoidable circumstances but judicious use of technology will be fruitful for stakeholders and service providers. It has created the revolution in Indian Education Sector. There are many innovative ways to use technology and improve teaching and learning. In this paper the current scenario of use of ICT has been investigated through online qualitative survey. Analyses of qualitative data show the significant outcome in education sector at all levels with some constraints.
